Born to a proud Marine, I resided in California and Arizona until moving to Ohio to attend College. I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2003 from Bowling Green State University and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Ohio State University in 2007.
I made my way to Virginia in 2007, by way of being a military spouse. While I am no longer a military spouse, I grew to love Virginia Beach and made it my home. I am married and have two great children.
I have been blessed with obtaining experience in several clinical settings that have given me diverse experiences to guide my therapeutic work. This includes Treatment Foster Care, Outpatient Mental Health, Emergency Mental Health, Intensive In-Home services to children/adolescence, and a Department of Defense contract providing services to military families.
I work with children, adolescence, and families (ages 5 and up). I am particularly interested in Autism, PANDAS/PANS, Trauma, Postpartum Depression, Domestic Violence, Military family life issues, and behavioral problems in children. I also have an interest in sexually reactive behaviors in the child/adolescent population and individuals and families coping with the stress of custody proceedings and/or infidelity. I have received training in Solution Focused Therapy, Emergency Mental Health, Postpartum Depression, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Domestic Violence. I have significant professional experience and education regarding Autism Spectrum Disorders.
